Infant mental health

Information
Information: The development of healthy attachments is critical in the lives of infants. The quality of these relationships is a strong indicator for future mental health and the ability to establish and maintain happy relationships. Parents do the best that they are able to give their infants what they need but not all parents learned how to attend to an infant’s emotional needs from their family of origin. If you are struggling to care for your child or infant please these websites may be helpful to you:

Treatment Complaint

Information
People who serve in the military and veterans can face unique challenges. There are many emotions involved with being at war, separated from loved ones, as well as the stressors that are inherent in multiple and extended deployments. The stress encountered in service abroad can also play a role and cause mental health issues, including anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, depression and substance abuse.

In addition to these mental health issues, the war has exposed many soldiers to traumatic brain injury or multiple concussions from exposure to IEDS (improvised explosive devices). The military and their families should have full access to counseling by mental health professionals to help them cope with temporary or permanent losses. If you are a returning veteran from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan and live in the Scottsbluff/Gering area please call our office and we will work with you to obtain the care you need for your mental health and relationship issues.
